Children and families in a diverse society, wasn't a class I thought that I would enjoy taking. I couldn't have been more wrong about this class just in the past couple of months. I've got to learn about so many different approaches, but the one thing that I enjoyed and shocked me the most was how much this class would make me self reflect on issues and topics I never thought about. In the first week of class I learned about bias and the two forms of it. One being conscious bias bias/prejudice this is when you are aware that you have it. The second Implicit/subconscious bias is bias that you don’t think you have, but that you actually have subconsciously which is similar to being on autopilot thinking.
